My thoughts print out in Arial, in
Palatino and I slice,
I string my words in linear design
along the curves and channels of
the riddle of my Oracle, my Cube, my Innocent,
the whole of my life's effort
and its ease.
of the design eludes my knowing as I wake or sleep these forty years in wilderness, pen clutched to bosom like the beads of common prayer.
Truth is elusive as I write, so vast as white light modifies each verb and pronoun, proud insistent:
Each end line blends with slender elegance, the soul of each to realize the whole
of every other to infinity.
The symmetry of these fine lines
we walk together, ultimate and free.
I live in faith and awe of this insistent voice, the choices of a living art, an artful life!
